Featured Insight
Under the leadership of Diego Passos. In addition to accompanying the production events, he taught extension courses on "Games with Construct 2". The choice of Construct 2, a tool that facilitates event-driven 2D development, reveals a smart pedagogical and production strategy: it allows students with an initial programming background to create publishable products in a short period of time, which was essential to the accelerated Game Jams format.

Milestone 3.1 — The First Nassau Game Jam
The IntieGames/UNINASSAU partnership established an intense, focused production framework validated through rapid-development events known as Game Jams, which proved effective for skill-building and asset creation.
The 1st Nassau Game Jam took place on January 21, 2017, at the UNINASSAU labs in Lauro de Freitas. Although Game Jams typically run for 24–48 hours, students were able to produce publishable games on the Scirra platform in just 10 hours. This outcome exceeded the coordination’s expectations and validated the rapid production methodology and the chosen development tools. One notable game from this event was “Bottle Cap Running” (Corrida de Tampinha).

Milestone 3.2 — Continuity and Focus on Global Publishing
The fast sequence of events — with the 2nd edition scheduled for April 27 (implied 2017) — confirmed that the Game Jam was a structural and ongoing part of IntieGames’ curriculum and development strategy.
In a significant step forward, the focus turned to the global market from March 11 (implied 2017 or 2018), when students began the process of registering and publishing games on Google Play. This process was directly supervised by Diego Passos.
